Award-winning acoustic duo Mark Johnson and Emory Lester will appear in concert at Ocala Civic Theatre.

Johnson, on banjo, plays a unique fusion of bluegrass, traditional folk, and acoustic styles called "clawgrass," expanding on an old Appalachian style of playing known as clawhammer. Lester, on mandolin and guitar, is also known for his musical creativity and strong lyrical style. Bass player Kene Hyatt also joins them to bring his talents to this concert. Inspired by a wide range of music, these talented musicians blend the modern with the traditional to create a fresh new sound.

Johnson and Lester return to Ocala Civic Theatre for a third time, after successful concerts in 2009 and 2013. The nationally acclaimed duo also wowed audiences on "The Late Show With David Letterman" in 2012, appearing with actor/comedian and fellow banjo player Steve Martin. They recently completed a sold-out European tour and will be appearing at the Grand Ole Opry this spring.
